Maintenance is aimed at keeping the oil skimmer in a good condition and at reducing the wear of consumable parts (belt, motor, power supply, etc.). Optimal maintenance involves blowing the scraping point with compressed air. It is advisable to periodically check the correct operation of the oil skimmer.
Oil separation is a fundamental treatment for good fluid performance. The recirculation of the emulsion cleaned of waste oils in the machine prevents wear of the machine and tools and guarantees better quality of the processed product. It reduces the frequency of maintenance on the tanks and consequently disposal costs and last but not least it reduces the risk of irritation for the operator and improves the quality of the working environment.
The oil skimmers with 230 V gear motor are designed in alternating current and are supplied only with a power cable without plug; the customer, depending on the type of connection, will install a plug, providing the correct protections against overcurrents and overvoltages.
The polyurethane belt is a standard component of belt oil skimmers and is used when working on baths with classic oil/water emulsion. Instead, the PVC belt performs well on liquids with acidic/alkaline PH and high temperatures, such as water-based liquids, which would damage the polyurethane belt.
The belt oil skimmer recovers the contaminated emulsion through the belt. The greater the recovery surface, the greater the operational capacity of the oil skimmer. For this reason, with tanks up to 300 l, the 50 mm belt width is recommended; for tanks above 300 l we recommend the 100 mm width.
Unlike the other models, MiniMax has a simpler structure, without lateral sides, and a fixed belt tensioning shaft which does not allow adjustment.
The MiniMax is a high-performance oil skimmer for small needs, recommended for tanks up to 100/150 l. Unlike the MAX BAND 12/24 V and MAX BAND 230 V oil skimmers, it is not equipped with an oxygenator or automatic belt tensioning.
Moving a mechanical oil skimmer (MAX BAND, MAX DISC, MAX RING) from one tank to another is highly discouraged for three reasons:
There is no technical reason behind this choice. It depends greatly on the company’s internal logistical habits. There are companies that prefer to have a single oil skimmer to be moved, requiring a person to perform this operation. Some prefer to have a fixed mechanical oil skimmer on each machine.
Quality oil skimmers, strictly made in Italy, made to meet the needs of all industrial sectors intending to separate oil and waste from processing baths
