You may think that by verticalising the oil scraper you will obtain better separation. In reality, the position of the oil scraper is calculated following degrees and in such a way that the oil scraper presses uniformly on the belt. Oil separation is a fundamental treatment for good fluid performance. The recirculation of the emulsion cleaned of waste oils in the machine prevents wear of the machine and tools and guarantees better quality of the processed product. The polyurethane belt is a standard component of belt oil skimmers and is used when working on baths with classic oil\/water emulsion. The belt oil skimmer recovers the contaminated emulsion through the belt. The greater the recovery surface, the greater the operational capacity of the oil skimmer. For this reason, with tanks up to 300 l, the 50 mm belt width is recommended; for tanks above 300 l we recommend the 100 mm width.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Moving a mechanical oil skimmer (MAX BAND, MAX DISC, MAX RING) from one tank to another is highly discouraged for three reasons:<\/p>

  1. In the presence of bacteria, there is a risk of transfer of bacterial loads between the tanks;<\/li>
  2. Loss of cleansing benefit in the short term;<\/li>
  3. Loss of the benefit of savings in disposal, in the long term.<\/li><\/ol><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    There is no technical reason behind this choice. It depends greatly on the company’s internal logistical habits. There are companies that prefer to have a single oil skimmer to be moved, requiring a person to perform this operation.
